CHARLES A . MEISER OF SNYDER COUNTY PURCHASED THE STORE AND STOCK FROM JAMES A. CAMERON IN 1900 FOR 1300.00 HE ADDED A 3 STORY BUILDING AND OUTBUILDINGS. PRIOR TO THE FIRE OF 1918 THE STORE WAS SOLD TO C.D.STEWART THE FIRE WAS STARTED IN THE FURANCE JN THE CELLAR OF THE DEPARTMENT STORE AND WAS DISCOVERED BY MEMBERS OF THE STEWART FAMILY WHO OCCUPIED THE RESIDENCE ADJACENT TO THE STORE.SINCE THE FIRE OF 1918 THE LOCATION ON THE SQUARE HAS BEEN OCCUPIED BY VARIOUS BUSINESSES INCLUDING J.M. SCHLEGEL'S .LOSCH CARPET & VIDEO,ARBOGAST VIDEO,FISHER OF MEN, CURRENTLY CAMEO CAFE TROPHY QUEST AND THOMPSONTOWN TREASURES
